DOWN WITH DIXIE has moved forward as many of his sire's runners have as the distances have increase and today he relished every step. He was first out of the gate and had company throught the opening quarter. He established a clear lead after that and was never seriously threatened. He came home a very easy two and one-quarter length winner.
