The newly-turned 3-year-old filly had been second in her debut on December 11 at Hollywood Park. She was away swiftly from post five and pressed the pacesetter from the outside. SUMMER GAMES and the other filly had their own private match race all the way round. SUMMER GAMES put her head in front in the stretch, got bumped, was headed and came back at the wire to win by a head.
